Cimex marks World Usability Day

Cimex will be holding a day-long series of seminars and workshops on World Usability Day 2008 13th November.

As a Top 50 digital agency which specialises in the retail, corporate, public sector, learning and training markets, Cimex has user centred design firmly entrenched in its overall approach.

Katerina Tzanidou, Head of User Experience at Cimex said, “What makes Cimex different from other UX consultancies is that we offer the full UCD process and can apply many combinations of techniques to capture the total user experience.”

The agency will be holding a breakfast briefing in its state of the art user testing laboratories. It will explore the business opportunities that UX processes bring to mobile – an area at which Cimex is at the forefront, having worked on a number of high profile projects. There will also be a number of one-to-one slots for companies wishing to take up the opportunity of a free expert review of their website.

David Hockin, who as Corporate and Government Director at Cimex will be exploring the commercial benefits of UX on the day said: “In the present economic climate, the successful acquisition and retention of customers is greatly enhanced by correctly applying UX techniques which put the user at the heart of transactional and e-commerce processes.”

Throughout the day Cimex’s UX team will explore current thinking and trends in usability through case studies, interactive presentations and specific website analysis. Katerina Tzanidou explains: “World Usability Day is extremely important to us because it allows the team to discuss with a whole spectrum of usability advocates and frontline digital professionals in depth, the value of what we do and the difference we can make to all kinds of digital outputs from websites, educational and entertainment games, online advertising, mobile, consoles and IPTV.”

We are expecting huge interest for this event, so attendance is by invitation only. If you wish to attend the breakfast or the one-to-one briefings throughout the day, please RVSP Juliet Bernard or call 01707 320274.
