The IVCA Clarion is renowned as the world‘s only communication awards promoting social inclusion, CSR, sustainable development and ethical debate. These awards were founded in the Autumn of 2003, and took place for the first time at Parliament, in the summer of 2004.

This year’s IVCA Clarion Award Winners were announced to an audience of 500 leading figures from Business, Government and the Arts. Guests gathered to celebrate the role of the media industries in promoting a sustainable world.

During the ceremony celebrity winners such as Moira Stuart, Kevin Spacey, Julie Christie and PD James spoke about the importance of ethical communications and collected awards alongside some of the UK’s leading businesses and finest communicatons companies.

The Clarion Awards were launched 5 years ago and celebrate the finest examples of responsible communication on Sustainable Development, Cultural Aspiration, Social Inclusion and CSR.

Among the other winners this year were the forthcoming Leonardo DiCaprio climate change film, The 11th Hour; The Royal Navy for their film on the Abolition of Slavery; WWF for their film One Planet Living and the Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre for their work in ensuring the safety of young internet users.

‘We’re extremely pleased to share this award with Cimex. They generously sponsored most of the costs incurred in rebuilding the site and for that we are hugely grateful. I hope this wonderful award underlines not only the quality of their output, but also their commitment to support progressive digital media projects like Big Picture TV.’
