Cimex revamps digital presence for global law firm Mewburn Ellis

Cimex provides global law firm Mewburn Ellis with redesigned website employing a user experience centred approach.

Customer Requirements

Mewburn Ellis LLP is one of the UK’s oldest and largest firms of Patent and Trademark Attorneys. They approached Cimex looking to rejuvenate their online offering and refresh their branding.

The old Mewburn Ellis site contained a large knowledge base, including regularly published industry white papers, therefore they were looking for a way to promote this extensive collection of publications in an easy to navigate, effective manner.

Increasing their appeal, authority and visibility to potential clients, graduates and industry peers was a key factor in this digital campaign.

Solution

To kick-start the project Cimex performed a forensic web analytics review, which helped reveal current trends and show how the site could be optimised for the desired audiences.

To address the issues Mewburn Ellis were facing, Cimex planned to design and build an entirely bespoke website which would be fresh, accessible and host all of their knowledge base in an effective and well organised manner.

Creative teams at Cimex tackled the rebranding of the logo as well as the look and feel of the overall site, while our in-house UX team dealt with the information architecture; which was particularly important when organising the large amount of existing content and the extensive knowledge base. The site itself was built on a N2 .NET platform, hosted by Cimex.

An additional contact form was designed and implemented into the site to create a new digital touch point with the company.

Results

• The new contact form proved to be very successful in bringing in queries from potential clients.
• Consistent increase in month-over-month visits since website launch.
