Cimex gains ISO27001 status

We have formally been awarded the International Standard For Information Security Management (ISO 27001) in recognition of our information security and network systems.

At Cimex we take information security very seriously and we are constantly monitoring our systems to ensure that they are as robust and effective as possible.

So for us it was a natural progression to put ourselves forward for ISO27001 – the international standard for information security management. We are now proud to announce that we have become one of only a few UK digital agencies to achieve this accreditation.

How we achieved ISO27001 status

The process has taken us just eight months instead of the usual two years, during which time:

• we have been assessed on 137 points of conformity
• our documentation has been verified on site
• our staff have been interviewed and briefed on information security and security practices

Our commitment to maintain our ISO27001 accredited status is ongoing, with regular checks every six months. Our continued efforts make sure that our handling of client information meets international security standards that are recognised worldwide.

What it means for you

If you have an online project which involves large databases of personal information, you can be assured that our status as an ISO27001-certified company means you’ll be in safe hands.
