Barack Obama on ‘just words’

Just words. That’s the charge Barack Obama recently faced in the run up to the United States presidential election.

Obama’s detractors claimed his campaign lacked any real policies or substance and was heavy on the rhetoric. His campaign, they insisted, consisted of ‘just words.’

His response? To repeat a speech by Deval Patrick in 2006.
