Peerlink

‘Cimex’s solution to our brief and our ongoing relationship with the team has been fantastic and we now feel that we have a site through which young people can effectively learn and share all kinds of information on peer mediation and conflict resolution. Our ‘Knowledge Sharing’ wiki will hopefully now grow into a huge knowledge bank for young people interested in this type of work,’ PeerLink Resources Development Worker

Brief

Cimex was commissioned by Leap Confronting Conflict (LCC) to create a youth-friendly, interactive website which accented the youth-led nature of a new initiative called Peerlink.

Leap Confronting Conflict (LCC) is a voluntary youth organisation which helps young people and adults explore ways of addressing conflict in their lives.

Solution

Cimex created an online destination for information, advice and guidance on conflict resolution that also acts as a community where young people can share their experiences and learn from each other.

Site features:

  • The site offers young people access to an online network of peer-led support in relation to confronting conflict
  • Incorporating a self perpetuating wiki-style area, the site gives users the opportunity to share experiences
  • Best practice guidance on conflict resolution and mediation is included
  • The wiki contains user profile pages, events, training information and various resources for mediation

Cimex was responsible for the design and development of the site.
