Web Editor / Content Producer - London, UK

Cimex - a Top 50 digital agency - is unique in that it’s one of the few web agencies in the UK to offer in-house end-to-end web copy and content services.

Our services include web copywriting, editing, sub-editing, content migration, scriptwriting and online content management (including social media and forum moderation). We also provide strategic services such as content auditing and strategy.

We’re looking for versatile web journalists, web editors or content producers who wish to further develop their skills in a thriving agency environment.

As well as bringing along bags of ideas for online content, you’ll also have a keen interest in online publishing (blogs, online newspapers and magazines) and be familiar with how social media and user generated content platforms are providing new and exciting opportunities for publishers. 

The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to further their experience in developing web copy for different platforms, age ranges and sectors - including consumer, business, public sector and e-learning.  

Ideally you’ll know how to develop good ‘call to action’ content, but experience of writing for sales-led or retail websites would also be a strong advantage.

Naturally, a commitment to quality content production and version control are an absolute must.

Core requirements

• Experience of web copywriting for the web/email newsletters, across different ages, sectors or platforms
• Methodical approach to copy writing and editing
• Focused, solution-oriented approach to projects
• Ability to review and improve copy on existing websites
• Interest in new content platforms e.g. user generated content and social networks
• Self starter, good time management skills
• Awareness of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) copywriting

Core software skills

• Microsoft Office and Photoshop or similar
• Experience of uploading and catgegorising content in CMS systems
• Knowledge of basic HTML and Dreamweaver or similar
