St Pancras International
‘We entrusted its development to Cimex because of their accomplished history of constructing creative solutions that are technically sound, user focused and engaging,’ Mike Luddy, Project Director: St Pancras International.
‘We are very pleased with our new website. A key component of our vision for St Pancras International is the website. We entrusted its development to Cimex because of their accomplished history of constructing creative solutions that are technically sound, user focused and engaging,’ Mike Luddy, Project Director: St Pancras International.
Brief: After £800m of refurbishment work, St Pancras International opened in November 2007 with a Royal visit by Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh.
In 2006, Cimex partnered with London and Continental Stations & Property (LCSP) to collaborate on the deployment of a contemporary destination website www.stpancras.com as a key marketing tool for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link development. A year later, the digital agency was commissioned to develop the 2nd phase of the project including a mobile version of the site.
Solution: The site has grown in functionality and complexity with information and easy to use guidance to all the station has to offer.
Key features include:
- Live train timetables
- Video content featuring a virtual tour of the station
- A blog space where the public can voice their opinion about the station and its facilities
- A history of the of the station and it’s refurbishment work over the years
- An introduction to the retail opportunities available
- A mobile version of the site, making it easier for travellers to access up-to-date information wherever they are
“We are thrilled to be a part of this historical project that will, no doubt, redefine the European railway experience.” David Hockin, Corporate Director: Cimex.
